  1. Thanks for the tag! I had a HORRIBLE experience with MegaBus last time I rode and will NEVER ride again. While I used to be impartial to either and would just hop on whichever was cheaper on the day I needed to travel, I will never take MegaBus again!

I took MB from Boston to NY for a weekend (leaving on Friday, coming back on Monday). The bus left 30 minutes late on Friday, pulled over randomly for about 15 minutes so he could make a phone call somewhere in Connecticut, then stayed on his phone the entire time talking very loudly and VERY inappropriately about his g/f and how much he hated his job.

When we got to New York, he got lost, ran 3 red lights and hit a taxi cab and then KEPT DRIVING before pulling into the bus stop.

THEN when I went back, the bus was 2 hours late leaving New York and had no WiFi the entire way up to Boston.

When I called the company to complain, they said they wouldn't issue a refund because times of arrival/departure aren't guaranteed.

Bolt Bus has outlets at every seat, comfortable, leather seats that recline and very steady wireless.

    No more Megabus for me!

  2. Ahh! I'm annoyed and that didn't even happen to me. Sorry to hear about your experience. I see that's a trend with Megabus...people take it until they have a horrible experience and they never go back.
I guess I'll take my chances until something ticks me off enough...I don't travel that often, but maybe next time I'll go for a "SURE" good ride as opposed to a "MAYBE". Thanks for sharing.
